Mrs. Nash's Top 10 Must-See List

Bicentennial Mall

The Carillon on Bicentennial Mall - Nashville, Tennessee.

Built in 1997 in celebration of Tennessee's bicentennial, Nashville's Bicentennial Mall offers visitors a dynamic, informative walking tour of Tennessee history.

An enormous carillon can be found on the north end of the park. Its bells, hung from a series of tall pillars, chime regularly. From this spot you can look south, across the length of the mall and see, on a hill, the Tennessee Capital building and much of the Nashville downtown skyline. Various spots on your walk through the park depict historical events in Tennessee's rich history.

A child friendly, dancing fountain at the south end of the park is a great stop for the kids, particularly if it's warm day and you don't mind them getting a little wet. Mrs. Nash says it's also a nice place to cool your heels (literally!) after chasing after elusive music stars all day.
