Bonus Site - Nashville Zoo

A Clouded Leopard at Nashville Zoo - Nashville, Tennessee.

Not all Nashville's residents are from these parts. The city has a zoo that houses animals from all over the world.

The Nashville Zoo is home to a breeding program that specializes in helping to bring back the nearly extinct species like the rare and elusive Clouded Leopard, pictured here. Besides this cat, the zoo has many others interesting animals including Bengal Tigers, and meerkats (not really a cat - think Billy Crystal's part in a Disney movie about lion royalty), elephants, macaws, and many more exotic species. There's enough here to make even repeat visits a thrill.

Indoors, the zoo has a tremendous reptile and fish exhibit.

If that isn't enough for the kids, an enormous tropical fantasy playground, complete with a floating raft, slides and hippopotomuses that the little ones can crawl through from tongue to tail, is available on the west side of the park.

That's just a start. There literally is too much at the Nashville Zoo to list here.
