Things to Do Outdoors in Nashville

Skate Parks and Places for In-Line Skating

Looking to do an olly or ride a rail, or have someone in the family who knows what that even means?

Then check out Nashville's new skate park, conveniently located off Two Rivers Pike near Opryland. Two local YMCA's offer skate parks at at their facilities (Brentwood and Murfreesboro centers). Check with the respective Y's for visitor policies.

If in-line skating is your thing, locals favor the Nashville greenway system, particularly the twelve-mile round-trip Shelby Bottoms layout (great any time in daylight), and Metro Center (especially popular on Sunday afternoons). The latter is a business park with wide, flat roads - so be careful, watch for traffic and be compliant to all rules of the road. Note, part of the greenway system runs by here too.
